New South Wales runs its own planning and certification process, separate from Queensland’s. Structural documentation is prepared to suit the NSW process rather than the Queensland one.
Flood-prone river country
The Northern Rivers has a well-documented flood history, and raising existing homes above flood levels is common work. Elevating a home lifts critical infrastructure well above potential flood zones.
Relocation and reuse
Relocating an existing home rather than demolishing it keeps the structure out of landfill and preserves architectural character — particularly valuable for older homes that are difficult or expensive to reproduce.
Modular delivery across the border
Where a modular home is manufactured in Queensland and delivered into NSW, the transport, lifting and connection design is unchanged, but the certification is prepared for the NSW pathway.
